Day 1: Arrival at the Airport
Your private driver guide will pick you up from the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Airport) and take you to your lodging. Dinner will be served there, and you’ll spend the night there before leaving for your safari the next day. Accommodation: Gran Melia Arusha Meals & Drinks: All meals included.
After breakfast, we’ll leave for Tarangire National Park very early in the morning. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, is the source of its name. During the dry season, this “river of warthogs” is the only source of water for the local wildlife. Elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests are among the more densely vegetated areas. The park is well known for its herds of elephants, which frequently gather by the river. Additionally, giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest might be seen. A variety of predators, such as lions and leopards, are constantly circling these animals. Tarangire National Park is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on earth. We will travel to one of our opulent partner lodges close to Tarangire for dinner and your overnight stay after lunch and a lengthy game drive. Accommodation: Maramboi Tented Lodge Meals & Drinks: All meals included.
Day 3: Maramboi to Lake Manyara National Park
We will leave for Lake Manyara National Park early in the morning after breakfast. This unspoiled paradise is famous for its abundance of birds and tree-climbing lions. The Rift Valley’s dramatic western escarpment defines the park’s western boundary. Lake Manyara, an alkaline lake, is located to the east. A sizable portion of the park is covered by the lake, which fluctuates in size according to the seasons and serves as a haven for thousands of flamingos when it rains. The Maasai word “emanyara,” a common plant that is used to construct the protective enclosure around a family homestead (boma), is where the name Manyara originates. The park has a wide variety of vegetation, from savannah to evergreen forest. You might come across giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, lions relaxing in the trees as you explore the park. We’ll travel to one of our opulent partner lodges in Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay after lunch and a lengthy game drive. Accommodation: Kitela Lodge Meals & Drinks: All meals included.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will descend the nearly 600m deep crater. The Crater was formed two to three million years ago when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. It is renowned for both its beautiful geology and for being a natural reserve that has some of the densest populations of large mammals on the entire African continent. The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in and of itself, and once on the Crater floor, you are surrounded by large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. The Crater offers the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be seen in the open grasslands. After lunch and a thorough game drive inside the crater, we’ll proceed to our luxury lodge on the crater’s rim for dinner and your overnight stay. Accommodation: Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp Meals & Drinks: All meals included.
Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park
We will depart for Serengeti National Park shortly after breakfast. The Serengeti is truly breathtaking. It is renowned for its extensive open grasslands, which make for excellent wildlife sightings. The Serengeti is both one of the planet’s oldest ecosystems and Tanzania’s oldest national park. For millions of years, its climate and vegetation have largely remained unaltered. Although the Serengeti is home to a variety of wildlife, the annual Great Migration is perhaps its most famous event. Massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope move in a predictable pattern every year in search of new grazing. The annual rainfall patterns determine exactly when the migration will occur. We’ll travel to one of our tented partner lodges for dinner and your overnight stay after lunch and a lengthy game drive. This amazing location will be your home for two nights. Accommodation: Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge Meals & Drinks: All meals included
Day 7-9: Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar
Indulge in a scenic flight to Zanzibar Airport ZNZ, followed by a journey to Nungwi on the island’s northern coast. Here, you’ll find a stunning beach with white coral sands that emit a magical glow at night. Nungwi boasts an expansive coastline ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and water activities, with some of Africa’s most pristine, reef-rich waters. Sunset cruises, diving excursions, and parasailing are all available, but nothing beats the sight of traditional dhow boats at sunset. Immerse yourself in this captivating African paradise with a three-night stay.
Day 10: Onwards Transfer to the Airport.
After breakfast and some relaxation at your Zanzibar hotel, you will be transferred directly to the airport or ferry. This will be the end of your epic journey.
