Day 3: Serengeti Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll travel to Serengeti National Park for a full-day game drive (including a picnic lunch). A million wildebeest, each driven by the same ancient rhythm, play an instinctive role in the unbreakable cycle of life here. They engage in a three-week frenzy of territorial conquests and mating, as well as a survival of the fittest as they plunge in 40km (25 mile) long columns through crocodile-infested waters on their annual migration north. The 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage resumes after a brief population explosion that produces over 8,000 calves per day.
